I get an iPhone and I was on youtube a lot and saw that you can be unlocked. What does that mean exactly, you know, you can install additional applications to obtain the wern't designed by Apple. But not with Optus and Telstra in Australia. I'm gettin it off eBay. Thats about it, even if theres something I've missed something, and probably do not know, please mention: P Thanks

Unlocking an iPhone is a bad idea. Apple has released updates for its software that breaks the phone for you if you release the lock. If you ever thought of that you update your software, then it's OK to be released for sale, but if you upgrade, so you can take to bring new things for them, making it a bad idea.
